ABOUT OUR CYBER SECURITY TEAM

The UMMS IT Security Program has four key functions: Program Management, IT Security Operations, IT Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), and IT Security Engineering. IT Security Program Management is responsible for program administration and budget management. The IT Security Operations Team provides event monitoring, incident response and system administration services. The IT Security GRC Team assesses Risk and manages compliance requirements. The IT Security Engineering Team is responsible for delivering new capabilities and planning the security roadmap.

The mission of the UMMS IT Security Department is to protect the information needed to make life easier and better for our community by providing security operations, engineering, and risk management and compliance services.
