Job Description

Establishes all guidelines for the processing and sterilization of surgical instrumentation supplies for perioperative services with supervision by the Assistant Director for Processing Services.  In addition to providing direct operational supervision, this position serves as a liaison between perioperative service staff members and physicians to assist in the management of instrument/tray acquisition and promote adherence to established policies and procedures as they relate to sterilization practices.

Qualifications

  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, with a background in various OR procedures and instrumentation is required.
  • Three years in the perioperative nursing field required. BSN degree preferred
