Founded by physicians in 1881, the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus provides extensive, cost-effective health care and a prominent teaching environment for Maryland’s finest doctors. We were the first in the area to promote affordable health care; the Community Health Education Center has screened and educated over 70,000 people for diabetes, hypertension, prostate cancer, pregnancy and more. With our growing Sinus Center, Just for Kids outpatient rehabilitation center and Family Health Center for complex injuries and medical conditions, we treat the region’s most unique health problems in over 20 specialty areas. The center also includes our leading Human Virology branch, where clinical research and social work is focused on HIV/AIDS and other chronic viral diseases.

UMMC Midtown Campus has had a long history of working to keep our community healthy. Located in Baltimore’s cultural center near the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood, UMMC Midtown Campus is a 200-bed non-profit, community teaching hospital, and part of the University of Maryland Medical System.
