Founded by physicians in 1881, the University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus provides extensive, cost-effective health care and a prominent teaching environment for Maryland’s finest doctors. Our 200-bed hospital is located in Baltimore’s cultural center near the historic Mount Vernon neighborhood. We were the first in the area to promote affordable health care; our Community Health Education Center has screened and educated over 70,000 people for diabetes, hypertension, prostate cancer and more.
