Under limited supervision; transports patients, specimens, and equipment to and from various locations in accordance with Medical Center and department policies and procedures. Ensures the safe, timely and efficient transport of patients, specimens, and equipment throughout the Medical Center. Contributes to the smooth operational flow of the department, and promotes a positive image of the Patient Transportation Department and the Medical Center. Fulfillment of the job duties requires the employee to have access to medication storage areas.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required; or the completion of the certification program through Baltimore City Public School Systems in conjunction with Project Search internship will substitute for this requirement.
- One year experience in a health care environment or in a customer service-oriented field is required.
- One year experience as a Patient Transportation Aide is preferred.

- Pay Range: FLAT RATE $17
