Located in Laurel, our Freestanding Medical Facility (FMF) provides ambulatory, OR and full-service Emergency care 24/7, to help improve the health status of our neighboring community residents. We’re looking for experienced Sonographers to join our extraordinary Imaging Team at UM Laurel Medical Center. Conducts general and vascular ultrasound examinations to locate, evaluate, and record pertinent anatomical, pathological, and functional data. Reviews results for quality and completeness, refers to physician for evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Required: RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) or RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
- Basic Life Support – Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
Education/Knowledge
- Completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- Preferred Associates Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Applicable Experience
- Required: 1 year
- Preferred: 3 or more years
- Preferred: One year performing general and vascular exams.
