From bones to brains, our cutting-edge hospital heals even the most serious of injuries, specializing in everything from total joint replacement to spinal cord injuries and neurological condition. In total, our 141-bed facility welcomes over 3,000 patients every year. As the state’s largest provider of inpatient rehabilitation services, we offer some of the most advanced therapies for stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, orthopedic and sports injury, among many others.
- Fills orders accurately and according to Departmental procedures.
- Compounds and fills IV admixtures accurately and according to Departmental procedures.
- Assists pharmacists by screening inquiries, phone calls, and door/window visits that deal strictly with the disposition of medications.
- Delivers medications, controlled substances, and IV fluid and restocks automated medication dispensing machines and manual floor stock areas according to Departmental standards.
- Performs monthly inspections of assigned nursing/treatment areas, where medications are stored, in the specified time period.
- Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program approved by the Maryland Board of Pharmacy. Training programs accredited by the American Society of Hospital Health System Pharmacists.
- Successful completion of the departmental IV training.
- Registration as a pharmacy technician with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy is required.
- National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferred ( CPhT)
- Completion of a high school level of course work with attainment of a high school diploma or possession of a State High School Equivalency Certificate (GED) is required.
- Minimum of one-year experience as a hospital pharmacy technician or equivalent work experience is required.
