Evaluates, creates and supports proactive responses and promotes ethical behavior and moral resilience among nurses and other healthcare professionals. Facilitates communication, builds moral resilience and promotes an ethical climate. Co-Chairs the Ethical Advisory Committee (EAC) and carries out consultancy, education, and policy development. Participates in research initiatives regarding moral distress and interdisciplinary decision-making, evaluates existing practices based on research, and promotes nursing’s ethical competence and moral resilience. Leads the Resilience in Stressful Events (RISE) program, responders, and program management including growing referrals and responding to customer needs. Serve as an academic instructor in courses of applied ethics within the University of Maryland School of Nursing.
- Master’s degree in bioethics or master’s degree in nursing, public health, or related field with completion of clinical ethics fellowship/equivalent
- Three (3) years clinical healthcare experience in nursing
- Leadership experience in nursing, clinical ethics, or healthcare administration
- Experience providing ethics consultation as primary consultant, small group, or member of large committee
- Healthcare Ethics Consultant Certification (HEC-C) or eligible for certification within 2 years of hire
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland or eligible to practice due to Compact State agreements outlined through the Maryland Board of Nursing

Pay Range:$102-$150,000 per year
