Job Description

University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health (UMUCH), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), has an opening available for a full-time BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon, specializing in Foot and Ankle, to join their robust orthopedic multispecialty group located in Bel Air, MD.

 Job Specifics:

  • UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Bel Air was named one of America’s 100 Best hospitals for orthopedic surgery by Healthgrades, which evaluates quality using objective measures including clinical outcomes, patient safety, and patient experience.
  • Position will join a multispecialty group of 7 (orthopedic surgeons spine, shoulder, hand and joint).
  • Position is open due to present foot/ankle surgeon relocation, so physician will take over busy foot and ankle practice.
  • Physician will have support of experienced Physician Assistant who enjoys foot and ankle surgery.
  • Position will be primarily based on the campus of Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD.
  • Ideal work environment Monday through Friday day shift, with a very manageable call rotation shared among other providers, fostering a healthy work/life balance!
  • Excellent hospital administration support as well as dedicated in office support staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient work environment.
  • Position eligible for sign-on bonus and relocation support options to facilitate your transition to Upper Chesapeake Health!
  • Opportunity to work in brand new, state of the art surgicenter opening Summer 2024
  • Potential opportunity for ASC ownership

Qualifications

License to practice Medicine in the state of Maryland 

Board Certified in orthopedics and successful completion of foot and ankle fellowship program.
