Job Description

Under general supervision, is an advocate on behalf of the patient and family; obtains detailed patient insurance benefits and related financial information for all aspects of the transplant process; this includes, but is not limited to, evaluation, inpatient transplant surgery, prescription drugs and out patient testing. Provides patients and families information on additional health coverage for which they may qualify, assist in the procurement of additional information and applications from specific agencies.

Qualifications

  • Completion of high school diploma or GED equivalent is required. Baccalaureate degree in business or related field is preferred.
  • Two years experience in hospital business or other healthcare setting is required.
