Job Description

Under general supervision, responsible for the overall, daily operations of the residence. Based on a strengths model and using identified counseling and communication skills, engages members to develop and maintain a supportive, therapeutic, safe, home-like atmosphere which is sensitive to individual cultural and functional differences. Counselors are assigned to Community Rehabilitation, Residential or Mentally Ill/ Homeless Programs.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services related field is preferred. Bachelor’s degree may substitute for the experience requirement on a year for year basis.
  • Four years professional experience performing mental health services, or equivalent, is required.
  • Current, valid, MD state driver’s license is required. Not more than two points on the driving record per year permitted.

Pay Range: $17.68-$24.76
