Responsibilities:
Under limited direction, responsible for developing applications and processes required to extract, transform, cleanse, and manage data in support of the organization’s analytics ecosystem. As a core member of a high-performance team, ensure data integration services are consistently and reliably maintained and analytics capabilities are delivered at an optimum level, helping the organization identify insights from a large number of diverse datasets.
- Study data sources by interviewing users; define, analyze, and validate data objects; identify relationship among data objects.
- Plan data integration process by developing common definitions of sourced data; design common keys in physical data structure; establish data integration specifications; examine data applications.
- Examine data models and determine best-fit data interchange methods.
- Assess middleware tools for data integration, transformation, and routing.
- Develop project scope and specifications identifying factors that negatively impact integration; forecast resource requirements and establish delivery timetables.
- Design, specify, and select integration and data solutions, consider current and future functionality, enterprise data sources and stores, security, infrastructure, and performance.
- Deliver data integration by integrating data shared across legacy, new development, and purchased package environments using various technologies and toolsets.
- Map data, establish interfaces, develop, and modify functions, programs, routines, and stored procedures to export, transform, and load data.
- Meet performance parameters; resolve and escalate integration issues; document operational procedures and data connections.
- Work with Data Engineers and Database Administrators to design and create physical data structures.
- Work with Data Scientists, Business Intelligence Developers, and other developers, build integrations, tools and scripts that take advantage of the insights to support organizational strategic, clinical, ad-hoc and regulatory imperatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or closely related field and three (3) years of experience with each of the following:
- Designing and developing integrations to internal and external applications.
- Integration patterns, concepts, and integration platforms.
- Delivering and supporting real time integration solutions.
- Data integration tools (e.g. Pentaho Kettle, SSIS, etc).
- C/C++, Python, and Ruby.
- SQL, PLSQL, and Unix Scripting.
