Job Description

Under limited supervision, translates the educational needs and objectives of a unit within Patient Care Services into consistent and effective educational programs; assessing and improving patient care processes and serving as an expert clinical resource to the staff.  Acts as a support to unit and division leadership in ensuring excellence in clinical care, patient care and clinical practice. Focuses on developing staff to work in today’s environment and developing the nursing practice of tomorrow through evidence-based practice development linking relevant research to practice and best practice integration.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in nursing or related health science field is required.
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to Compact state agreements outlined through the MD Board of Nursing, is required.
  • Five years of progressively responsible clinical experience.  Two years of experience must be in a mentoring/training /leadership role.
  • Previous trauma experience preferred
