What You Will Do:
Under general supervision coordinates and provides support in evaluation, integration and training related to implementation and operational issues of EMR applications. Undertakes special projects as assigned by the Ambulatory Services leadership team. Responsibilities include work flow analysis, planning, development, user support, documentation and reporting to support the implementation and execution of the AEMR project. Collaborates with the University of Maryland School of Medicine and University Physicians to attain, understand and manage shared processes.

Documents, researches and analyzes clinical workflow structure for ambulatory EMR build and implementation Post Go Live
Performs as a team member for system implementations and support crossing multi-departmental, multi-divisional clinical environments.
Performs as directed, aspects of ambulatory EMR such as planning, workflow analysis, design, development, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, go live, support, and maintenance.
Collects, prepares and maintains documentation and reports.
Gathers specific client data and participates in pre-implementation planning meetings as required.
Assists with projects as assigned. Analyzes work flow of processes and systems, recommends improvements, and analyzes tracking and trending needs.
Assists in operational prep, review, design and building activities relating to implementation planning and go-live support.
Performs end user support, workflow optimization and maintenance, and training for specific practices, clinicians and support staff as needed.
Supports leadership team with Portfolio/EMR implementations and future optimizations.
Identifies, monitors, and assesses “best practices” and/or national trends in outpatient care delivery which may impact on the missions, goals and objectives of Ambulatory Services. Analyzes and develops responses to these influences, and collaborates with multi-disciplinary teams to effectively institute necessary process changes.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Health Care Administration or a related field or equivalent.
Two years in a patient care setting (preferably ambulatory) within the past ten years, or equivalent experience in a current Information Systems or Clinical Operations support position.
Implementation experience with EMR applications/system (preferably Epic Care) and/or previous experience in an enterprise wide system implementation is preferred.
