Seeking Experienced Nurse (RN) for Clinical Practice Coordinator Role for the Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery with the University of Maryland Medical Center

  • Master’s degree in nursing or related health science field and current licensure in related field are required (i.e. nursing, physical therapy).
  • Three to five years clinical experience which includes demonstration of clinical effectiveness strategies is also required.


We are seeking a self directed and experienced Clinical practice coordinator who will be responsible for the oversight of the Center of Excellence for Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery Program (COEMIG) at the University of Maryland Medical Center.  

  • Candidate will work closely with program medical leadership and colleagues across perioperative, emergency and acute surgical care units covering the continuum of care for Women’s GYN health. 
  • The COEMIG program coordinator will be responsible for clinical effectiveness,  detailed chart review and data management, quality and safety, clinical education and other duties reflected in the Clinical practice coordinator job description with the focus on maintaining the CEOMIG designation through the American Association of Gynecologic Laproscopists (AAGL) and the Surgical Review Corporation.  
  • Candidates must possess and active RN license, hold a MS degree and have pertinent clinical experience preferably in women’s health and/or surgical care.

This Coordinator Role focuses on GYN surgery and the reporting structure is directly to the Director of WCH .

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Ability to work autonomously in the management of projects and programs is essential, must also demonstrate initiative and possess strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to develop collaborative programs and projects with other disciplines is required. Must be able to contribute to team effectiveness, build relationships and facilitate improvements.
  • Highly effective verbal and written skills are required to work with all levels of hospital personnel, administrators and clinical staff.
