Under general supervision performs a variety of routine and specialized technical procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Assists physicians in the performance of cardiovascular diagnostic testing and other therapeutic/interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
BLS and ACLS certification
Certification from the ARRT as an RT(R)(CV), RT(R)(CI) or RT(R)(VI) and licensure by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist OR Certification from the CIC for RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
Additional requirement for this level:
Recent applicable clinical experience in a comparable setting.
Maintenance of 15 contact hours of education every year.
