Under general direction of the Biomedical Hyperbaric Operator – Respiratory Therapy operates and maintains the hyperbaric chamber complex. Performs a variety of respiratory care treatments to a specific patient population. Ensures the effective operation, calibration and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
Associates degree required.
Graduation from an AMA approved program by the National Board of Respiratory Care in respiratory therapy required.
Registration as a Certified Respiratory Therapist from the National Board of Respiratory Therapy required.
Licensure as a Respiratory Care practitioner from the Maryland Board of Physicians is required.
Must receive CHT or DMT certification from a military or an accredited commercial diving school within one (1) year of hire or transfer into position.
Current BLS certification required.
Prior experience in diving or hyperbaric operations preferred.
