Under general supervision, manages Mammography Radiographers and the daily operation of the Breast Center. Provide quality patient care by performing as an expert practitioner, educator, consultant, and researcher in matters related to Mammography. Coordinate clinical activities and patient flow. Act as a role model for staff in all patient care and quality matters. Administer the MQSA and ACR quality programs, as well as all internal quality initiatives related to mammography. Establish administrative policies and procedures for clinical practice and administrative support of our Breast Center practice. Supervise and perform a variety of breast procedures, screening, diagnostic and interventional, applying prescribed ionizing radiation or other specialized radiographic technique for radiologic diagnosis.
Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Mammography. Licensed by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
CPR certification is required.
Four years of progressively responsible experience performing Radiography, two to three years of which must be within the respective area of specialty, where applicable. In addition, one year lead supervisory experience, supervising the work of Radiographers and overseeing the operation of a unit, is required.
