What You Will Do:
-Provides support to Patient Access management and employees by presenting new hire training and continuous education. -Responsible for developing, organizing, teaching and maintaining knowledge of all courses offered to the Patient Access department. -The course material encompasses Patient Access department operational policies and procedures, EPIC Prelude and Cadence & Grand central patient processing system workflow requirements, other information systems supporting Patient Access department (registration data quality system, medical necessity software, scanning software, and coding software), third party requirements, and regulatory compliance changes. -Responsible for maintaining and communicating up-to-date compliance and regulatory requirements. -Helps identify training needs and new curriculum by performing periodic quality and accuracy reviews of staff performance. -Helps Patient Access management meet departmental goals and objectives and support departmental projects.
What You Need to Be Successful:
-High School diploma or equivalent required. -Bachelor’s degree in Education, Health Care Management, or related degree is preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Experience in training and/or quality assurance is preferred. -Thorough knowledge of training concepts, compliance requirements, third party payer requirements, quality control, performance improvement, state and federal regulations and computer systems is preferred. -Knowledge of McKesson STAR application is preferred. -Thorough knowledge of data processing in general, and application systems in particular, as acquired through formal training and work experience. -Must possess analytical ability to solve complex problems associated with the set-up and use of the application systems. -Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Strong verbal and written communications skills. -Demonstrates ability to work independently and set priorities. -Must possess strong organizational skills and ability to execute training delivery.
