Under general supervision performs a variety of routine and specialized technical procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Assists physicians in the performance of cardiovascular diagnostic testing and other therapeutic/interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
BLS and ACLS certification are also required.
Licensure by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is required for a Radiologic Technologist.
Certification from the AART as a Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist and/ or Vascular Interventional Technologist is required. Or certification from the CIC for RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) is required.
