Under general supervision, inputs and reviews billing information; prepares reports, tables, and graphs and interprets results; researches and reconciles billing problems according to procedure. Interacts with patients for billing purposes and when staffing as a pharmacy technician. Performs administrative duties for Manager, Ambulatory Pharmacy and Assistant Director of Pharmacy.
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program accredited by the American Society of Hospital Health System Pharmacists is required. One year of relevant experience as a pharmacy technician will substitute for certification.
Three years performing accounting-related clerical and/or bookkeeping duties is required. Experience in a pharmacy or health care environment is preferred.
