The Physician is a member of the Addiction Medicine department and carries responsibilities within the department. The physician is also an Active Member of the Medical Staff and an employee of the hospital.
Performs examinations and medication management of routine and emergent patients in an adult and geriatric population. Recommends and initiates care plans and treatment protocols to provide optimum clinical outcomes. Physician follows established and recognized clinical pathways and protocols for the specialty which have been supported by scientific research and promoted by national and professional medical associations. Assists in developing programs to reduce readmissions.
Evaluates patients at satellite locations obtaining patient’ histories, performing physical assessments, prescribing treatment and medication modalities, and assisting care management in post treatment placement.
Education: Awarded degree of M.D. with ABN recognized residency.
Licensure: Active medical license from the state in which services are rendered.
Experience: 2-3 years experience in a hospital environment.
