What You Will Do:
Under the general supervision of the Manager, the Resource Therapist coordinates the shift functions of the Respiratory Care and Pulmonary diagnostics department in the absence of a Supervisor. They display proficiency and perform at a level of excellence in all Respiratory Care procedures and special procedures, as well as designated Pulmonary procedures. Acts as a resource and clinical expert for all members of the health care team. In addition, they assure that procedures performed in critical care and non-critical care areas, on patients of all ages, are within department and hospital guidelines. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision and values of BWMC.
What You Need to Be Successful:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Licensed in the State of Maryland as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. Registry eligible, preferred. Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care preferred. A minimum of two years progressive critical and general care respiratory care experience required. Must complete Neonatal/Perinatal review course within one year of hire or transfer to this position. Current CPR certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required. Previous experience using a business office suite, such as Microsoft Office, is required.
