Responsible for assembling and building or re-constructing patient rooms, corridors, or offices from concept to completion. Must be able to coordinate contract services, if needed, and phase specialty work (plumbing, electrical, communication).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
Assists in securing bids.
Acquires building materials.
Lays flooring (carpet, tile).
Prepares drywall for maintenance apprentices.
Has ability to conceive a project.
Works with outside contractors to ensure quality work.
Assists in awarding contracts to "outside contractors".
Installs suspended ceilings.
Recommend tool purchasing.
Shovels snow; spreads sand and salt.
Strives to achieve excellence of service as described in CARE Manual.
Responds to the following Shore Health System codes: Code Red, Code Pink, Code D and CodeU.

What You Need to Be Successful:
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
Five years experience with a construction company preferably as Job Foreman. Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints. Must be licensed, insured driver. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal and organizational skills.
