Assists physicians with invasive procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory including Cardiac Cath, rhythm device, implantation (PM/AICD, IABP, operates imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment. Assists with hemodynamic monitoring in the critical care units. Supports System and Department of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Services Strategic Plans, and Shared Leadership.
Associate's degree in a field of science with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in cardio-pulmonary technology, including experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. National Registry or eligibility in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology (CCI), Respiratory Care Practitioner (NBRC) or Radiologic Technology (AART). Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support Certification. Successful completion of the Basic Science Exam administered by Cardiovascular Credentialing International.
