THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME POSITION WITH BENEFITS; IT IS A SUPPLEMENTAL PAID INTERN POSITION
You MUSTbe a COLLEGE STUDENTin your Junior OR Senior Year pursuing a Business Degree, preferably with a concentration in Accounting and have a GPA of 2.8.
Under direct supervision, theFinance Intern works directly with various Finance staff to develop, analyze report and interpret financial and statistical information to assist management in the formation, implementation and execution of the organization’s business plans.
Principal Responsibilities and Tasks
The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all job duties performed by personnel so classified.
1. The intern will be responsible for assisting in the reconciliation preparation processes in the areas of cash, salary payables, and fixed assets
2. The intern should be able to perform basic Accounting functions, such as journal entries
3. The intern will participate in the development of financial reporting analysis
4. Time permitting; the intern will assist in special projects
5. Other duties as assigned
What You Need to Be Successful:
Must be ENROLLED in a Baccalaureate degree program in Finance, Accounting or Healthcare Administration and a 2.8 GPA. Two (2) years college is preferred. Courses taken to date should include courses related to the following: Introduction to Financial Management, Accounting I and II, Statistics, Information and Technology for Business and Introduction to Cost Accounting.
