The Director has overall responsibility for the receipt and distribution of all supplies, capital equipment and linen for the Hospital and affiliated entities.
The Director oversees and is accountable for working with the other respective department directors to manage supplies and drug costs to budget.
The Director is also responsible for the management of all capital expenditures within the organization including coordinating the Capital Allocation Committee meetings; the ranking and purchasing of capital; and maintaining the three year capital plan for the Hospital updating annually by meeting with various department directors and physician leaders.
Serves on, and is a key member of, the Value Analysis and Surgical Value Analysis Committee.
Oversees all package and mail distribution on a daily basis.
Responsible for achieving high level of compliance with vendor contracts and works closely with Corporate supply chain management to maximize the number of corporate contacts covering local purchases.
Oversight of the Hospitals inventory of supplies (all locations) including active management and automation of dispensing, charging and inventory levels.
4 year Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
Master’s Degree (Preferred)
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
3-5 Years of experience managing a supply chain function.
