What You Will Do:

JOB SUMMARY:

 

The infusion services liaison helps to ensure proper placement of patients by gathering preadmission information, facilitating better communication of information about the patient to all disciplines, and by overseeing the patient’s transition to home care. The liaison is responsible for streamlining communication regarding the referral process between the hospital case managers and the infusion center.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

Provide sales and marketing support.

 

Develop and/or enhance programs for the home infusion center including public relations and patient training materials.

           

Develop new referral sources while maintaining and cultivating current referral sources.

 

Maintain up-to-date referral source records as well as any other requested records in accordance with the home infusion center instructions.

 

Represent the University of Maryland Medical Solutions in a professional and positive manner, within the acute and extended care facilities.

 

Communicate any problems incurred in the delivery of home infusion therapies.

 

Comply with all company policies and directives for the fulfillment of the companies objectives.

 

Attend and participate in appropriate office meetings, sales meetings, training programs, in-services and regional and national trade shows and conventions as directed.

 

Coordination and cross-training of departmental work duties to achieve maximum productivity and efficiency.

 

Maintain the confidentiality of patients and their personal information at all times.

 

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Perform other duties as directed by supervisor



What You Need to Be Successful:

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Licensed nurse with current license in the state of Maryland with a minimum of two years active nursing experience.

 

Home health or home infusion (or at least one year of case management or discharge planning) experience preferred.

 

Coordinates services with skilled home care.

 

Experience with insurance authorizations

 

Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.

 

Professional image and good communications skills.

 

Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.

 

Effective interpersonal skills that would allow for working well with varied personality types.

 

Good computer skills.
