UMMC is seeking a Cardiovascular Scrub Technologist (RCIS) in the Cardiac Cath Lab
Under general supervision performs a variety of routine and specialized technical procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Assists physicians in the performance of cardiovascular diagnostic testing and other therapeutic/interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

What You Need to Be Successful:
Education: Graduation from an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology. Licensure by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist is required for a Radiologic Technologist. Certification from the AART as a Cardiovascular Interventional Technologist and/ or Vascular Interventional Technologist is required. Or certification from the CIC for RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) is required. BLS and ACLS certification are also required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to operate various types of equipment to include but not limited to: EKG, ACT, ISTAT blood gas analyzer, pulse oximeter, defibrillators, suction machines, and Intra Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP).
Effective verbal and written communication skills are required in order to work with patients, medical and nursing personnel.
