Under general supervision, provides childbirth education to obstetrical patients, their families, and/or their significant others. Participates and/or assists with support groups and continuing education programs for patients and community.
|A Bachelor’s degree in nursing, public health, childbirth education or related field required. Two years of experience in childbirth education is required, with at least one year in prenatal and/or obstetrical education in a hospital, clinic or other health care setting is required. Current designation as a Certified Childbirth Educator (CBE) from a recognized provider is preferred. Excellent interpersonal, organization, and communication skills required. Requires a valid Maryland Driver’s license.|
