What You Will Do:

UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center, a member of University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a Geriatrics Nurse Practitioner to join an established practice. The practice provides services in Millersville.

Job Specifics:

  • Established practice of 20 years
  • Practice of 2 physicians and 3 NP’s
  • Recently renovated primary outpatient office located in Millersville
  • Satellite outpatient office located in Severna Park
  • See patients in Assisted Living Facility 1 day a week
  • 1:6 call schedule by phone only
  • EPIC as EMR
  • Health system employee

Job Details:
  • Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultations and health education appropriate for the patient’s age and situation.
  • Obtains patient histories and develops patient care charges, ensuring completeness and accuracy of documentation.
  • Documents medical findings and care provided in the patient’s clinical record, including information of laboratory and radiographic studies.
  • Collaborates with physician or other health care team members regarding patients’ health needs, outcomes and effectiveness of care plan.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Master of Science degree with completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program required.
  • Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required. 
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse required.
  • Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.
  • Experience preferred, not required.
  • DEA and CDS eligible.
