University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking experienced OR Registered Nurses to join the UMMC Perioperative Nursing team.
OR Nurse Fellowship at UMMC The OR Nurse Fellowship is UMMC's training opportunity. We seek nurses who are interested in a career in peroperative nursing, but do not have prior experience in the Operating Room.
The Program is designed to prepare new nursing graduates and nurses with no prior work experience in a perioperative setting to perform the roles of the registered nurse in the operating room. The program is tailored to meet each individual’s specific training needs, based upon prior educational and work experience.
General OR - performs surgeries on the patients ranging in age from neonatal to geriatric for both inpatient and outpatient procedures.

Our General Operating Room is a 52,000 square foot operating facility comprised of 22 operating rooms for adult and pediatric patients, and two additional minor procedure rooms. It is supported by a 28 bed PACU with an 8 bed pre-op area.

This training opportunity is open to new graduates with a January - March NCLEX Date as well as experienced nurses who do not have Operating Room experience. Applicants who are interested in a career in Operating Room Nursing are encouraged to apply.
What You Need to Be Successful:
Licensed and eligible to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Maryland at time of hire;
Graduate from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing Program
