What You Will Do:

University of Maryland St Joseph Medical Center (UMSJMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a PRN Pediatric Hospitalist for a temporary contract opportunity to cover a staff member as they go on medical leave. 

Job Specifics:

  • Coverage will be needed from mid-November through mid-January 
    • Potential shifts after January
    • 12 hour shifts (7a-7p/7p-7a)
    • Cover newborn nursery, after hours emergency pediatric unit, and pediatric inpatient unit
    • Serve as backup for delivery room
    • EPIC as EMR
    • No call schedule

A community hospital located in Towson, MD, University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center (UM SJMC) is a 263-bed Catholic hospital with more than 700 physicians on the medical staff. What You Need to Be Successful:

Education and Experience

  1. Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required.  1-2 yrs minimum experience in a Hospitalist setting.

  2. Possesses and maintains current Board Certification within practicing specialty preferred.

  3. Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.

  4.  Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.

  5. Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.

  6. Demonstrates appropriate qualifications and experience to perform the duties required of this position.
