What You Will Do:

 New Graduate Registered Nurse  -Cardiac Surgery ICU 

 University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking new a graduate registered nurses to join our team in (unit).  RN graduate applicants should be graduating by December 2017 and looking to start their new position as a Registered Nurse in the Spring of 2018. 

 The University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC), an innovator in Cardiac Surgery,we have a national reputation for treating the complex heart conditions using the most advanced treatment options and therapies. In this center, cardiology, cardiac and vascular surgery and other subspecialties come together to attack heart disease from every angle.

The Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit provides care to adult patients requiring pre-and post-operative care for cardiothoracic surgical conditions. Care is provided on a continuous24-hours basis. This 21-bed unit is available for critically ill patients requiring intensive care (ICU) as well as patients requiring intermediate care (IMC).

We are seeking New Nurse Graduates to Join our Team.

Our CSICU nurses are among the best-of-the-best, honing their nursing skills in support of our top of its class heart program.  Procedures include coronary bypass procedures, mitral valve repairs, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), surgical treatment for atrial fibrillation (MAZE procedure), and heart transplantation and implantation of mechanical circulatory support devices. Post-surgery, the patient will received in the UBM and cared for through the continuum of care until discharge.

What You Need to Be Successful:

Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred; Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Maryland, or eligible to practice due to compact state requirements outlined by the Maryland Board of Nursing
