-The Patient Advocate Support Staff investigates, resolves, documents and reports organization-specific patient and visitor compliments and concerns.
-Develops, implements and participates in customer service and patient relations initiatives related to BaltimoreWashingtonMedicalCenter.
-Collaborates with members of the healthcare team, community resources, and with the patient/patient family to promote optimal outcomes for the patient across the continuum of care.
-Rounds on patients daily to evaluate the level of satisfaction and identify patient and family needs. Facilitates successful use of the interpretation services at UM BWMC.
-The position is goal-oriented with a high level of accountability correlated to the continuum of care, quality of care and patient satisfaction.
Associates Degree or 60 credits of coursework in social science, behavioral science, hospitality or other related field required.
Two (2) years of relevant experience required. Experience in an Acute Care setting preferred.
Must have experience with data entry and word processing, be capable of operating routine office equipment, understand how to navigate web based applications and possess a proficient knowledge of MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
