What You Will Do:

Come join us at of University of Maryland St. Joseph’s Clinical Engineering Department to become one of the specialized professionals performing significant preventative maintenance/safety tests/calibration for equipment.

  • Performs major preventative maintenance/safety tests/calibration for equipment.
  • Provides equipment repair throughout responsible areas
  • Completes all necessary record keeping for work orders received and/or finished.
  • Assists in the ordering of parts and supplies necessary for the servicing of medical equipment. Performs cross training to other technicians on acquired skills.
  • Must keep up to date knowledge of technological and medical advances.

What You Need to Be Successful:



  • Associate's degree in (Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology) or certificate in (Electronics or Biomedical Electronics), or equivalent trade school or military biomedical training. (Required)
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Biomedical Equipment Technician or Lead in a hospital setting.
