UM St. Joseph Medical Center (UM SJMC), a member of University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner to join our well-established practice in Towson, Maryland.


Job Specifics:

  • Group comprised of 4 providers seeking a 5th
  • Be part of an interdisciplinary team that includes Physicians and NP’s
  • Inpatient consults and growing outpatient clinic that provides continuity of care
  • Must have at least 2 years of Inpatient NPexperience
    • Will be trained in Palliative Care and Pain medicine
    • Must be willing to earn Palliative Care certification within 2 years of employment
  • Employed by University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Group (UM SJMG)

Job Summary

Palliative care Nurse Practitioner under limited supervision will provide care for inpatient's.The nurse practitioner will provide continuity  and faciliatate communication between staff patients and family to ensure quality, cost effective care, and patient satisfaction, while integrating best practices in palliative care.

What You Need to Be Successful:


Master of science degree
Completion of ELNEC review course
Hospice and Palliative care certoification
Current DEA and CDS licensure
