Job Description: ANSWERS MULTI-LINE PROMPTLY AND COURTEOUSLY.: Directs calls and takes messages as appropriate. Exercises good judgment in determining urgency of calls to and from medical provider.
PROVIDES OTHER VARIOUS CLERICAL SUPPORT: Maintains contact information, specialists and testing providers in patient files. Organizes and maintains patient filing system to ensure easy retrieval. Maintains a clean and organized work space. Operates and maintains assorted office equipment, contacting vendors to perform repair or other service as necessary.
RESPONSIBLE FOR MONITORING OF PATIENT CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT: Greets patients upon arrival and schedule follow-up appointments upon check out when necessary. For each patient checking in, consistently verifies patient insurance information, address, telephone numbers, and contact information for other providers. Processes co-payment for prior balance when necessary.
Minimum Qualifications: Front desk experience preferably in a clinical setting; basic computer skills; ability to multi-task; excellent customer service skills
