1. Performs medical examinations and establishes preliminary diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, consultation, and health education for hospital and pain center patients. 2. Performs medical, headache, pain or spasticity histories on all new patients. 3. Develops a plan of care to include medication therapy, physical therapy, diet therapy and lifestyle changes. 4. Reviews care plan with patient and responds to all questions or concerns. 5. Obtains, packages and ships biological specimens for toxicology screens 6. Performs interval histories and reviews current medication therapy. 7. Answers patient phone calls and triages to appropriate practitioner. 8. Serves as investigator/clinical coordinator for research studies conducted in the pain center. 9. Serves as educational resource within the hospital and clinical practice. 10. Orders or performs diagnostic tests as deemed appropriate in accordance with established guidelines.
