What You Will Do:

Drs. Rouben and Violet JiJi Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a state- of- the-art, fifty-two (52) Single Family Room design. We offer comprehensive evaluation and treatment for all critically ill neonates, including extremely low birth-weight infants and those with surgical, genetic and cardiac conditions. Specialists are available 24 hours a day. 

The Clinical Practice Coordinator will design, direct and improve quality of patient care outcomes through evaluating and driving educational practice, supporting training, research and practice innovations. He/she will provide expertise to develop new and modify existing formal and informal education programs for nurses along the continuum of novice to expert. 

What You Need to Be Successful:

*****Masters degree in nursing or related health science field is required. Five years of clinical experience in NICU required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a mentoring/training /leadership role. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 

  1. Clinical and professional knowledge of current practice issues relevant to care delivery systems for patient population
  2. Ability to work autonomously in managing projects and programs is required in addition to needing initiative and problem solving skills.
  3. Contribute leadership in collaborative programs and projects contributing to the team’s effectiveness while leading improvements.
  4. General knowledge of PC and database management software packages is required.
  5. Demonstrated ability to independently manage programs, staff and large scale projects.
  6.  Demonstrated ability to plan, organize and follow through on assignments and/or projects. Ability to analyze and conceptually develop ideas, proposals and programs.
  7. Ability to acts as a role model by displaying appropriate behaviors and skills through direct and indirect patient care.
