What You Will Do:

Patient Care Technician Opportunity
Full-time - 72hours/2 weeks
7p - 7a, rotating weekends and holidays

The Nursing Tech will consistently expresses and demonstrates respect, compassion and courtesy for patients, family/visitors, and team members.

Duties will also include but not limited to: 

  • Infection Control: Standard Precautions, Isolation Precautions 
  • Vital Signs (Temperature, BP, Pulse, Respiration, PO2)
  • Weight/I&O/Calorie Count 
  • Compression wraps/stockings
  • Assists/provides for ADL's: feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, transfers
  • Assists in admission, transfer, and discharge
  • IV catheterization and care
  • Bladder scanning and catheterization
  • EKG
  • Respiratory Care: Suction, trach care
  • Oxygen Therapy/O2 Tank Change
  • Provides orthopaedic/rehab Device Care: e.g braces, splints, CPM
  • Maintains order and appearance of patient rooms and work area 
  • Maintains necessary patient care supplies and linen
  • Hourly patient rounding
  • Care of patients in restraints
  • Proper vigilance when assigned as transporter, sitter or patient monitor

What You Need to Be Successful:

Experience working in acute setting as PCT preferred/PCT Certification and/or on the job training
High School Diploma/GED required
CPR (American Heart Association) required
