What You Will Do:

The University of Maryland Medical Center is seeking a Supervisor Labs of Pathology in our Core Lab with a desire to join our world-class team.  Located at the University of Maryland Medical Center (UMMC) in downtown Baltimore near the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards; you won't find a more vibrant place to work!

This is a Full time Laboratory Position with Night shift schedule!

Our Core Lab applies its knowledge of the mechanisms of disease to diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. Research, education, and clinical activities are conducted in cooperation with other clinical departments, the Shock Trauma Center, and the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The successful candidate supervises and coordinates daily lab functions.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree is required. Master's Degree is preferred.

  • Certification as a registered Medical Technologist obtained from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists is required (ASCP or equivalent) required. 

  • One year of experience with lab ordering and billing processes and regulations.

  • One year’s supervisory experience with skills and directing the work of Medical Technologists and other level laboratory staff (i.e.assugn  work priorities, audit work quality, orient and train, evaluate and discipline appropriately as directed by the Associate Administrator).
