What You Will Do:
The Registered Nurse independently provides and coordinates individualized patient care consistent with the mission and values of U of M Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute and in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
The float pool position offers the experienced RN an opportunity to practice in a number of world-class settings including:
Traumatic Brain Injury
Spinal Cord/Multiple Trauma
Comprehensive Medical Rehabilitation, which includes both the Amputee Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Inpatient Rehabilitation Programs
Our staff supports every unit of the hospital, meeting acute needs and filling in for nurses who may be on extended leave.
What You Need to Be Successful:
At least two year of nursing experience that includes recent applicable clinical experience in a comparable setting.
Demonstrated/documented highly effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated effectiveness as an interdisciplinary team member. Ability to learn and apply computer systems in order to manage patient information.
BSN, or enrollment in a BSN program, is highly desirable.
Certification in area of specialty preferred. Demonstrated effectiveness as an interdisciplinary team member. Ability to learn and use computer systems in order to manage patient information.
